This song came to me while I was day dreaming. I was driving to work, and my thoughts went to those workers who drive those trucks with the city logo on it, doing manual labour for the city of Toronto. My first thought was that I was happy I wasn't stuck in one of those trucks all day, five days a week. How could I possibly make positive change in the world if that was how I spent my time? Then I remembered that making a difference is not so black and white. You never know where change is going to come from. Change could come from a conversation you have with a colleague, in a truck, on your way to fixing potholes. The words and melody for the first part came to me in that moment as I was driving.
Lyrics
Part one and two: You can change the world from wherever you are, from wherever you are, from wherever you are
Part three: Right now, right now, anything big or small. Right here, right here, you can answer that call.
